Imperialism, the Organisation of Knowledge and Marx: Response, Clarification, Discussion

I would like to place on record my deep gratitude to Professors Sasheej Hegde and Atlury Murali (2021) for having engaged with my book, Infinite Double: Persons/Things Empire/Economy (Shimla: Indian Institute of Advanced Study, 2015) (hereafter ID), in such a detailed and critical manner, and to Social Scientist for lending its precious space to such an engagement. In the belief that the critical review of Hegde and Murali raises crucial issues that merit further discussion, I am taking the liberty and opportunity of responding to some of them here. This will involve a response to their reading of ID as well as a discussion of what they see as a theoretical limitation in it.
