Community Engagement in Covid Response: Poverty of a Health System Laid Bare

It is more than three years since India began its Covid saga. As we breathe lighter after at least three waves that punched heavily on our people and fumes are periodically visible not very far away, we are in a state of Covid denial. We lost, arguably, million(s) to Covid whom we are fast forgetting as we keep on asking ourselves in a whispering voice whether the viral fury is all over or are we in yet another lucid interval before the virus makes another whirlwind entry into the turf that is densely blotched with not so pale stains of thousands of Indian citizens. We live in the present but could learn from the immediate past and plan for the future, before we forget all that we did to safeguard our existence from the Covid flame.
