Overhauling Kashmir Politics: Incubation of Artificial Political Processes Destined to Fail

Narendra Modi’s fantasy about undoing the asymmetric annexation of Kashmir with India is an old one. In an undated video he claimed to have led a march from Kanayakumari to Srinagar and unfurled the tricolour at Lal Chowk in 1992 when militants were wiping their shoes with the Indian flag and stomping on it. The speech suggests that he braved terrorists to do this without a bullet-proof vest, only holding on to the tricolour.
