Imperialism and the Agrarian Economy

I will start with a personal anecdote. I met Com. Sundarayya, for the first and only time, nearly half a century ago in 1976 at his initiative, because he wished to discuss the question of how to ascertain differences of class position within the Indian peasantry. The Emergency had been in force for many months and he was underground at that time, having resigned from the position of General Secretary of the CPI(M) after serving in that capacity for eleven years.
