Fidel Castro: The Revolutionary as Teacher and Missionary

Everybody knows Fidel Castro as a great revolutionary. Along with Mao Zedong and Ho Chi Minh, he represents the radical revolutionary spirit of the late twentieth century. In the current paper I will primarily be concerned with Castro as a teacher. He was a teacher to his own people, and through the electronic media he also became a teacher to the people of friendly governments such as Chavez’s Venezuela or Evo Morales’s Bolivia.
