OBITUARY: Gurdarshan Singh Bhalla

G.S.Bhalla, Professor Emeritus, Jawaharlal Nehru University will be greatly missed by his many friends and colleagues apart from his immediate family. His open and generous personality endeared him to all who knew him. It is all the more a pity that such an intellectually and socially active person as Darshan, as he was known to friends, was stricken by an illness so severe that he was effectively no longer with us for nearly two years before his death at the age of eighty-five.
