A rapidly changing world and newly emerging challenges to a progressive social transformation demand a re examination and rethinking of Marxian thought, ideas and formulations. While all theories need to be revisited with time, this becomes imperative for Marxism as the latter’s promise to transform the society and world into a more just and free space cannot be realised without considering and comprehending the latest emerging dynamics within the economy and society. Without careful and meticulous renewal of Marxian theories at different junctures of history, Marxism loses its significance as a revolutionary thought.
