  • Stuti Bhatnagar, India’s Pakistan Policy: How Think Tanks Are Shaping Foreign Relations, Routledge London, 2021, 178 pages, £36

The restructuring of global power, explosion of social media, shifts away from traditional print and oral-based ways of imparting knowledge, and the dramatic increase in the volume of information and ideas clamouring for the attention of policy-makers are changing the landscape of foreign policy-making and the pathways through which influence is achieved. Therefore, the role and relevance of think tanks, the importance of intellectuals who work in them and their research contributions are being recognized. But there is limited engagement with the specific role that they play in policy-making, particularly on issues of foreign policy.
